According to Mangaupdates, this manga is based on a light novel series consisting of 10 volumes, whereas the manga itself is only 3 volumes long. Additionally, this series features 8 OVAs for Season 1 and 4 OVAs for Season 2. This review will focus on the first 10 chapters of the series, and I plan to watch the OVAs soon.

Synopsis: The original plot revolves around a deadly angel who arrives to protect a young man and also distract him from his studies. This is because he is destined to become problematic in the future, and the angel aims to prevent him from turning into that person, ultimately saving his life.

    Story: 4
The story is quite bizarre. A girl suddenly appears, causes chaos, and then inexplicably becomes the protagonist. Up to chapter 10, the storyline remains shallow, and I struggle to comprehend certain parts as characters often act in incomprehensible ways, with scenes jumping abruptly from one to another.

Moreover, since this manga is adapted from a novel, it contains excessive fanservice and gore that feels unexplained. I particularly dislike how the main character keeps getting killed and revived by the girl who is supposed to protect him, especially when assassins from the future are sent to kill him. The question arises: why even try? Just revive him again, and voila! End of story.

Characters are frequently left out of the narrative. For instance, the horned girl and Shizuki disappear for several chapters without explanation. Initially, the romance potential seems high, but later it appears that the main character changes who he likes, and Shizuki vanishes without any clarification. In some scenes, you might think, "The big moment is coming!"

    Art: 6
There aren't many impressive scenes to showcase the art. The emotions depicted are average, and some pages lack detail. I usually skim through the panels since most of the art isn't particularly striking. However, it doesn't significantly affect the story's comprehension most of the time, except for a few instances.

Character design and costumes are decent.

    Characters: 4
Most characters are portrayed in a superficial manner. I couldn't fully grasp some of them, and their actions occasionally seem shockingly inconsistent. Even the main characters aren't well-developed, and much of what they do or the strange things they encounter remain unexplained. What powers does Dokuro possess? How does Shizuki truly feel about Sakura pursuing Dokuro? Sure, she may be foolish, but I need more details, please.

Most importantly, none of the side or main characters left a lasting impression on me due to the lack of deep storytelling between them. Most character interactions appear to be carried out humorously, even during serious moments.

    Enjoyment: 3
I enjoyed the unique setting at the beginning and the humorous introduction. The intro began with the main character dying, which was amusing. However, the quality quickly declined. There are numerous unrealistic occurrences and unexplained events.

The romance could have been executed much better, and the interruptions of Sakura's confessions seem too perfectly timed. These interruptions happen so frequently that the element of surprise disappeared after the second occurrence.

There's too much cliché and fanservice. Using a spiked bat to kill someone and then reviving him is acceptable once, but don't overdo it. It reminds me of TnZ Season 2 anime with its fanservice.

    Overall: 4
For its creativity, I wanted to give it a higher score, but by the end of 10 chapters, I understood why scanlators decided to drop this series. It started off promisingly, but then an unexplained harem appeared, and everyone who initially wanted to kill the protagonist ended up befriending him. Why? Ask the mangaka.

Alright, time to check if the OVAs are any better. Please leave a comment on my profile page regarding this review. Thanks!

Oh actually I'm in the beginning of the tarot meeting. Also maybe I can't still adjust is because the name is Chinese. Tbh I don't prioritize reading Chinese novels cuz; there's a lot of stereotyps, the names are hard to pronounce or remember (for me), the norms is also different cuz many Chinese authors use Chinese culture in their novels that's why I can't understand some of it first, and last but not the least, most of Chinese novels has cultivation arc in it. Like evertime is cultivation time that makes me sleepy.

So far I don't remember myself reading Chinese novels. But obviously there are some exceptions.

Do u know the "Release that Witch"? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the author is Chinese. I found it out later when I'm already halfway through the story. I didn't notice it was a Chinese author cuz his writing is superb and I can understand his world building easily. Cuz his theme is medieval Europe style.
